Morris Nichols Part of International M&A Team - Advises Shareholders on the Sale of Omicron NanoTechnology GmbH to Oxford Instruments PLC

Wilmington, DE (August 24, 2011) - David Ley Hamilton, Morris Nichols Commercial Law Counseling Group partner and firm Executive Committee member, and associate R. Jason Russell, served as U.S. legal counsel that teamed with German law firm and fellow TerraLex network member SKW Schwarz to advise on the sale of German-based Omicron NanoTechnology GmbH and its U.K., U.S., Japanese and French subsidiaries to the British technology company Oxford Instruments plc. The deal value exceeded 32 million Euros.

Oxford Instruments plc is one of the U.K.’s leading providers of high-technology tools and systems for industry and research. Germany’s Omicron designs and produces advanced microscopes and analysis instruments for nanotechnology research. Its U.S.-based Omicron Associates handles the distribution of Omicron products in the U.S.
