Morris Nichols Named 2016 Turnaround Atlas Awards Finalist
Wilmington, DE (May 11, 2016) – The Morris Nichols Business Reorganization & Restructuring Group has been named a finalist of the 2016 Turnaround Atlas Awards in two categories. Global M&A received 270 transaction nominations in 2016, with just 48 selected as finalists.
In the category of “Turnaround of the Year: Middle Markets,” Morris Nichols is a finalist among key parties to be recognized for EveryWare Global’s Prepackaged Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization. The cookware and tabletop products marketer filed for Chapter 11 protection on April 7, 2015. Morris Nichols represented the ad hoc committee of bondholders in this matter involving nearly $240 million in assets and $380 million in liabilities.
Morris Nichols was also recognized as a Turnaround Atlas Awards finalist in the category of “Pre-Packaged Restructuring of the Year” for involvement in the Hercules Offshore Prepackaged Chapter 11 Restructuring. In August 2015, the offshore contract drilling and liftboat services company filed for Chapter 11 protection with $540 million in assets and $1 billion in liabilities.
