The Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization will hold its annual conference from March 8 to 11, 2015 in Orlando, Fla.

Morris Nichols partner Michael Houghton will speak at the Uniform Law Commission (“ULC”) Town Hall meeting on March 8.  Mike is the co-chair of the ULC Drafting Committee to Revise the Uniform Unclaimed Property Act, which forms the basis for the law of unclaimed property in more than 40 states.  On March 9, Mike will participate on the panel, “Unclaimed Property Reform: An Overview,” which will discuss the progress of the ULC’s efforts to revise the Uniform Act.

On March 11, Donna L. Culver will speak on the panel, “Red & Black: Bankruptcy and Class Actions.”  This session will cover bankruptcy impacts on unclaimed property filings, and class action settlement and proceeds distribution.
