Tarik Haskins, Curtis Miller, Eric Wilensky to Become Morris Nichols' Newest Partners

Wilmington, DE (October 20, 2011) - Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP is pleased to announce that Tarik J. Haskins, Curtis Miller and Eric Wilensky will become partners, effective January 1, 2012.  Rick Alexander, firm Chair, made the announcement of the election. 

Tarik Haskins joined Morris Nichols in 2006 and is a member of the Commercial Law Counseling Group.  His practice covers a wide range of commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, loan agreements and business counseling with an emphasis on organizational and operational issues related to limited liability companies, limited partnerships, general partnerships and statutory trusts.  He is also involved in the preparation of third party legal opinions in connection with a wide range of transactional matters.  Tarik is a 2003 graduate of University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of University of Cincinnati Law Review.  He was Law Clerk to the Honorable E. Norman Veasey, former Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court. 

Curtis Miller joined Morris Nichols in 2004 and is a member of the firm’s Business Reorganization and Restructuring Group.  He has substantial experience representing debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings.  Curtis’s practice focuses on chapter 11 business restructuring, advising fiduciaries and managers for distressed enterprises, acquisitions and transactions, committee and ad-hoc committee representations, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing, representation of secured and unsecured lenders to bankrupt or distressed companies and bankruptcy-related litigation.  Curtis is a 2003 graduate of The College of William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law, where he served as Notes Editor for William & Mary Law Review and graduated as a member of the Order of the CoifHe was Law Clerk to The Honorable Joseph J. Farnan, Jr., U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.

Eric Wilensky joined Morris Nichols in 2005 and is a member of the Delaware Corporate Law Counseling Group.  His practice focuses on the statutory requirements of the Delaware General Corporation Law and the fiduciary duties of directors, officers and controlling stockholders of Delaware corporations.  He provides advice to members of independent committees in the context of potential transactions, and has represented corporations in corporate governance matters generally.  Eric is a 2003 graduate cum laude of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as Executive Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.  Prior to joining the firm, he was a law clerk to Chancellor William B. Chandler III and Vice Chancellor John W. Noble, Delaware Court of Chancery.
