Rodger Smith Elected Chair of Morris Nichols Executive Committee

Wilmington, DE (January 5, 2015) – Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP is pleased to announce that Rodger D. Smith, II has been elected chair of the firm’s Executive Committee.  Rodger is a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Group, and has been recognized as a leading Delaware patent litigator by The Best Lawyers in America and by Chambers USA: Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.

Rodger succeeds Frederick H. Alexander.  “We have been fortunate as a firm to have Rick serve as the chair of our Executive Committee for the past four years.  Rick’s leadership and vision helped us to continue to build a strong foundation for future success,” Rodger said.

With more than 20 years of experience helping companies solve complex problems, Rodger’s practice focuses on intellectual property and other complex commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, Delaware State Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association.  Active in the local community, Rodger is past president of the Delaware Community Legal Aid Society, past recipient of the Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Award, and past recipient of the Delaware Housing Coalition’s Kind Policy Award.
