Andy Johnston Elected Chair of the Morris Nichols Executive Committee

Wilmington, DE (January 16, 2018) - Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP is pleased to announce that Andrew M. Johnston has been elected chair of the firm’s Executive Committee.  Andy is a partner in the firm’s Delaware Corporate Counseling Group and has been recognized as a leading Delaware corporate law and mergers and acquisitions attorney by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America

Andy succeeds Rodger D. Smith, II.  “I am honored to move into this role,” Andy said.  “I thank Rodger for his dynamic and steadfast leadership over the past three years.  His strategic approach and vision have strengthened the firm and I look forward to further extending our status as a premier Delaware law firm.”

In his 35 years of practice, Andy has advised corporations, boards of directors, board committees (including special committees), management and their counsel on cutting edge Delaware corporate law issues.  A leader in the Delaware State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, he currently serves on the Council of the Corporate Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, which considers amendments to the Delaware General Corporation Law and other Delaware statutes that enable the formation of other types of business entities.
