Thomas Briggs, Melissa DiVincenzo and James Honaker Become Morris Nichols’ Newest Partners

Wilmington, DE – October 30, 2009 – Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP is pleased to announce that Thomas Briggs, Melissa DiVincenzo and James Honaker will become partners, effective January 1, 2010.  Jack Blumenfeld, firm Chair, made the announcement of the election.

Tom Briggs joined Morris Nichols in 2001 and is a member of the firm’s Corporate and Business Litigation Group.  He has extensive experience representing clients in the Delaware Court of Chancery in business, corporate governance, appraisal and trust litigation matters.  Tom is a 1992 graduate of the University of Chicago and a 2001 graduate, magna cum laude, of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Melissa DiVincenzo joined Morris Nichols in 2001 and is a member of the firm’s Delaware Corporate Law Counseling Group.  She advises Delaware corporations on governance and transactions issues with particular focus on fiduciary duties of directors and controlling stockholders.  Melissa is a 1998 graduate, magna cum laude, of Mount Saint Mary’s College and a 2001 graduate, magna cum laude, of The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, where she was Comments Editor for the Dickinson Law Review.

Jim Honaker joined Morris Nichols in 2003 and is a member of the firm's Delaware Corporate Law Counseling Group.  His practice focuses on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and related issues involving the Delaware General Corporation Law.  Jim, is a 1999 graduate of University of Delaware and a 2002 graduate of University of Virginia School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Virginia Tax Review.  He was a law clerk to the Honorable E. Norman Veasey, then Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court.
