Bill Lafferty Speaks at 6th Annual Institute on Corporate, Securities, and Related Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions

Wilmington, DE – September 28, 2009 – Morris Nichols corporate and business litigation group partner Bill Lafferty served as Institute Faculty and spoke on the panel Delaware Law Issues in M&A and Related Transactions at the 6th Annual Institute on Corporate, Securities, and Related Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions, at the New York City Bar in New York, September 23 - 25, 2009.

The panel addressed recent developments in Delaware M&A case law, and also addressed the topic of shareholder access to the corporate proxy/ballot, including recent amendments to the Delaware General Corporation Law. Joining Bill on the panel was Justice Henry duPont Ridgely of the Delaware Supreme Court, among others.

120 attended this year’s Institute, co-sponsored by The Center for the Study of Mergers and Acquisitions, Penn State Dickinson School of Law, and The City Bar Center for CLE, New York City Bar.  The Institute provides an in-depth analysis of significant corporate, securities, and related issues arising in mergers and acquisitions by some of the world's most experienced M&A lawyers, judges, government officials, and investment bankers.
