A. Gilchrist Sparks III Elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the University of Delaware

Wilmington, DE – May 15, 2009 – The University of Delaware has announced that Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP Corporate and Business Litigation and Corporate Law Counseling Group partner A. Gilchrist Sparks III has been elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the University.  Gil will succeed Howard E. Cosgrove, current chairman of NRG Energy, Inc., who has served as Chairman of the University of Delaware’s Board of Trustees since 1999.

Gil was named Best Lawyers’ 2009 Delaware Lawyer of the Year in corporate law, and is described by Chambers USA as the “dean of the [Chancery] bar.”
