Wilmington, DE – March 13, 2009 – Morris Nichols intellectual property litigation associate James W. Parrett, Jr. will present Legal Careers for Chemists at the Delaware Section of the American Chemical Society in the Perkins Student Center, University of Delaware, March 16, 2009.  Among those joining James on the seminar panel are Dr. Pat Confalone, VP, Global R&D, DuPont Health, Nutrition and Crop Protection, Dr. Cynthia Stahl, Environmental Protection Agency, and Professor Klaus Theopold, Chair, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Delaware.

James will describe alternative career paths and opportunities for chemists in the field of patent law as litigation attorneys, patent prosecutors and expert witnesses and consultants. Prior to law school, James worked for two years as a research scientist in the field of immunotoxicology.  He holds a B.S. in Chemistry with minors in Biology and Biochemistry.
