Intellectual Property Administrative Assistant
Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP, Wilmington, DE, is seeking an IP Administrative Assistant to work the 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. shift, with overtime, as required.  This fast-paced position will support the Intellectual Property Practice Group.  The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of litigation experience and be proficient in e-filing legal documents with the District Court through CM/ECF.

Requirements:

  • Typing 75-80 wpm.
  • Ideally possess 3 years litigation experience, understanding of legal terminology and related court documents, i.e., pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word XP, MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Payne Forms and Numbering Assistant.
  • Familiarity with FileSite Document Management System.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently, demonstrate a strong commitment to providing various support to attorneys and clients and able to work well under pressure and handle high-stress assignments with time constraints.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Document preparation, formatting, edits, use of MS Word Styles, templates and application of firm standards.
  • Use of Best Authority and Adobe Redaction Tools.
  • Attention to detail and proofreading work.
  • Printing, Faxing, PDF, Transcription of Dictation, Data Entry into Litigation Support Database Systems.
