Curtis is an associate with the Business Reorganization and Restructuring Group. His practice is focused on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy. Curtis has been involved in bankruptcy proceedings and litigation on behalf of a variety of national and regional clients, including debtors, creditors and official committees. Curtis currently represents publicly-held and privately-held companies in their efforts to restructure. In addition, Curtis acts as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants in various bankruptcy related litigation matters, including among others, preference, fraudulent transfer, and turnover actions.
Representative Matters
In addition to serving as counsel for numerous entities in various litigation and bankruptcy related matters, Curtis has served as counsel for the Debtors in the Thaxton Group, Inc., counsel for the Plan Administrator in Jillian’s Entertainment, counsel for the Liquidation Trust in Oakwood Homes, Inc., and counsel for the Equity Committee in USG.

- Daily Bankruptcy Review Ranks Morris Nichols #6 Nationwide And #1 Among Mid-Size and Small Firms
Morris Nichols was ranked first among mid-size and small law firms for the number of large, public-company bankruptcy cases filed around the country between 2001 and mid-2005 in which it acted as lead debtor’s counsel. The firm was ranked sixth among law firms of all sizes.
