Lou is a member of the Commercial Law Counseling Group. He is actively involved in the organization and structuring of all forms of Delaware alternative entities, including Delaware statutory trusts serving as registered investment companies, limited partnerships used as investment funds and limited liability companies formed as joint ventures and used in connection with structured finance. Lou's practice includes mergers and acquistions, with an emphasis on structures involving alternative entities, and the delivery of third-party legal opinions in connection with the full spectrum of Delaware contracts.
Lou is a member of the committees of the Delaware State Bar Association responsible for reviewing and updating Delaware's limited liability company, partnership and statutory trust statutes. He is active on the Committee on Partnerships and Unincorporated Business Associations of the Business Law Section of the ABA and serves as chairman of its limited partnership subcommittee.
Lou also serves on the Board of Directors of Head Start for New Castle County, Delaware.
